Schumer Bloodstock takes pride in operating at every level of the market. 2019 was one such year, highlighted by the purchase of Miss Tapirado for $1.3 million at the Keenealnd April 2yos in Training Sale and success of $6,000 yearling purchase Kenzai Warrior in the Grade 3 Horris Hill Stakes at Newmarket.
In 2022, Schumer Bloodstock had another very strong year as the leading buyer at the OBS Spring Sale of 2yos in Training and one of the leading buyers at the prestigious Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Yearling Sale. We concluded the year as the fourth leading buyer of bloodstock in the US with over 129 purchases totaling just over $13.2 million.
There was further success in 2024, ranging from Japanese star Lemon Pop, whose dam Unreachable was bought for $55,000, multiple Graded stakes winner Lagynos, who was a $200,000 yearling purchase, and rising Saudi Arabian star Waqtuk, a $60,000 2yo purchase.
Lagynos added further to his record in 2025 to become a million-dollar earner while Speed King, a son of mare purchase Athenian Beauty, won the G3 Southwest Stakes at Oaklawn Park, and $1.1 million earner Cabo Spirit, a son of mare purchase Fancy Day, won the G3 American Stakes. Ornellaia, out of $18,000 purchase Scarlet Dixie, was named a ‘TDN Rising Star’ on debut at Saratoga.
Highlights for 2026 so far include more success for Lagynos, currently the earner of in excess of $2 million, and Sculcos Folly, a $70,000 2yo purchase who has won six of his eight starts including three at stakes level.
