Goffs Dubai breezer Go Soldier Go, a $45,000 pinhook, impressive winner in Dubai

After turning in highly creditable placed efforts on each of his previous starts, Go Soldier Go broke through in great style for Victorious and Fawzi Nass with an easy win at Meydan on Sunday.

“Today we wanted to give him confidence and get him travelling,”said jockey Adrie de Vries. “It seemed to work. He’s still in a learning process, a nice, big horse, and he should keep improving.”

The son of Tapiture was purchased by Chad for $45,000 to breeze with John Cullinan and Roger Marley of Church Farm and Horse Park Studs. He was prepared in Britain and then sent to Dubai for the inaugural Goffs Dubai Sale, where he resold for the equivalent of $140,000.

His win came on the same card that another Schumer/Church Farm pinhook, Made In Dubai (More Than Ready) was narrowly touched off in the opening maiden.
