Many congratulations to all the connections of the Schumer Bloodstock-associated winners at Ta’If in Saudi Arabia on Saturday.
On what was a good day for Schumer Bloodstock, leading 3yo filly Just For Sul defeated colts and older horses to win the Um Eiqura University Cup while Shaqra’a Sultan won the day’s JCSA Award.
Justify filly Just For Sul (pictured), who was purchased from Wavertree Stables as an OBS April 2yo in training, was scoring for the third time in the colours of HRH Prince Sultan Bin Mishal Bin Abdulaziz with her wide-margin victory in the day’s highlight.
Shaqra’a Sultan, who also races for HRH Prince Sultan Bin Mishal Bin Abdulaziz, is also now a three-time winner. The daughter of Mendelssohn is out of Juno, purchased by Schumer Bloodstock while carrying the filly at the 2019 Keeneland November Sale.
Worldly, who carried Chad Schumer’s colours to a third in the 2013 Breeders’ Cup Marathon, also had a good day as the sire of wide-margin winner Badr Alaelya’a.
