Redesdale colt Cable Ready broke his maiden in style on Tuesday when successful in the Tin Cup Chalice Stakes at Finger Lakes.
Previously placed in maiden company, Cable Ready ran down the leaders to win going away by nearly two lengths for owners Linda Dixon and Hector Alejandro.
From the second crop of Redesdale, two-year-old Cable Ready was bred by Wasabi Ventures, Michael Slezak, Bruce Wells, Karla Wells et al out of the Dynaformer mare Cable, a half-sister to Exchange Rate.
Redesdale‘s first crop of 38 three-year-olds is highlighted by Ramblin’ Wreck, winner of the Rick Violette and New York Stallion Stakes, alongside the stakes-placed Midtown Lights and Red Moon. He reigns as New York’s leading second-crop sire.
By Speightstown and out of a sister to Danehill, Redesdale was the brilliant winner of his first three starts. He stands at McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds in New York.
