During a fantastic Middle East tour with Fasig Tipton’s Anna Seitz, we were fortunate to visit four different racetracks in three countries, King Abdulaziz Racecourse in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain Turf Club and both Jebel Ali and Meydan in Dubai.
Stops also included the yards of leading trainers Bhupat Seemar, Doug Watson, Ahmad bin Harmash, Michael Costa, Fawzi Nass and Simon and Ed Crisford. This of course doesn’t include visits to the majlis/stables of so many prominent horsemen including long time friend/client Khalid Alsyari. One great highlight was seeing Group 3 winner Sound Money (pictured below) at Doug Watson’s yard, a son of Flatter we bred out of Vegas Trip.
So much was incredibly memorable such as the food all along the way, entertainment (certainly Opa in Bahrain with plate breaking and dancing!) and sights.
